#74 Nelson Reloaded
Why did you choose this style of beer and what is special about your recipe?
I wanted to brew a top-fermented beer that would give you a glimpse of the spring month of May, sip by sip. The fruity aroma profile of the top-fermenting yeast combined with the unique gooseberry and cirrus aromas of the Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand harmonizes perfectly and fits in perfectly with the month of May. The special thing about this beer is that the citrus profile of the Nelson Sauvin is combined with the citrus profile of the two hop varieties Mosaic and Citra. All in all, a beer that impresses and pleases with its various citrus nuances.
How would you describe the taste and how does the name fit?
The focus here is clearly on the Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand. Its fruity, citrus-like aroma profile is to be intensified by the two hop varieties Mosaic and Citra, enriching the fruity taste of the Nelson Sauvin hops with several flavor facets.
According to the two name components of the Nelson Sauvin hops, it represents both its origin from New Zealand through the city of Nelson and its taste proximity to New Zealand wines through the component Sauvin.
What occasion is this beer suitable for?
This beer is perfect for the first beautiful spring days spent outdoors. It is also an ideal alternative to wine for pasta in various variations and for fish dishes.
How would you describe the taste and how does the name fit?
