#76 Lovely Chiemgau
This is what our brewmaster André Biller says about his beer:
Why did you choose this style of beer and what is special about your recipe?
In the 19th century, Belgian miners enjoyed refreshing beers like the Grisette after hard work in the mines. Often considered the forgotten sister of the Saison, this style of beer was brewed in French-speaking Wallonia and served as a dry thirst quencher. Both the Saison and the Grisette have their roots as a reward for field workers and miners. Today, they are experiencing a renaissance in the creative beer scene, with brewers taking up the old traditions and reinterpreting them. This background inspired me to brew a Grisette as my brewmaster edition.
How would you describe the taste and how does the name fit?
Sparkling, slightly fruity, refreshing. The name was originally "from Chiemgau with Love" and was simply meant to be a beer-like greeting from our beautiful Chiemgau out into the world. This exceptional beer offers a harmonious combination of fruity and spicy notes. The first sip reveals a refreshing citrus aroma that is reminiscent of sun-ripened oranges and lemons.
What occasion is this beer suitable for?
This beer is an excellent choice, especially on hot summer days when you are getting together with friends or family outdoors. Its refreshing citrus aroma and pleasant spiciness make it a perfect companion for relaxed barbecues, picnics in the park or garden parties. Can design:The design in the style of 70s pop art presents a lively mountain panorama on the idyllic (Chiem) lake. The scenery brings the atmosphere of the summer resort of the 70s to life. The "i" dot in the form of a heart gives the scene a personal touch.
